INTRODUCING THUNDERBIRD
Click here to see the full video.
The most technologically advanced electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) system in the geophysical subsurface investigation marketplace today. Thunderbird has higher accuracy and better resolution than the competition.
RELIABLE RESULTS.
Identical surveys were taken with Thunderbird and a competitor.
Thunderbird clearly identified a significant void . . . the competitor did not!

Without Digging
Thunderbird is deployed by inserting electrodes 4 to 6 inches into the ground. No digging or replacement of dirt or dumping of waste is required.
Non-invasive
Thunderbird is deployed by inserting electrodes 4 to 6 inches into the ground. No digging or replacement of dirt or dumping of waste is required.
Environmentally Friendly
Thunderbird does not require the removal of dirt or the dumping of any waste.
Efficient
Thunderbird scans a large area of the underground (generally 38 feet wide and 10 feet deep). It can quickly determine if a ga

Thunderbird’s dynamic electrical resistivity system employs a computer installed in each “smart” node that gives you the ability to gather more data at a higher rate and improved accuracy.
Unlike competitor systems, each Thunderbird electronic node (Intellinode™) is a micro-computer, allowing Thunderbird to be more adaptable in the field. Nodes can be added and removed easily without the hassle of swapping out a whole string to keep you working and reduce your downtime.
Thunderbird’s dynamic electrical resistivity system employs a computer installed in each “smart” node that gives you the ability to gather more data at a higher rate and improved accuracy.
Thunderbird injects up to 4 times more current into the ground than competitor systems; more current means more data. And because Thunderbird is not limited by the number of channels, it can instead collect all useable data. This is an unparalleled advancement in ERT technology that provides higher resolution.

Thunderbird will generate inversion visualizations in the field with no additional software. Thunderbird allows users to choose from two state-of-the-art inversion methods to visualize the data: Finite Element (FEM) and Finite Difference (FD).

Intellinode™
Unlike competitor systems, each Thunderbird® Intellinode™ system contains a dedicated micro-computer, allowing the system to be quickly and accurately adaptable in the field. Nodes can be added and removed without the hassle of swapping out an entire string, greatly reducing downtime. Likewise, the INTELLIGENT NODES™ geological surveying service provided by Wavemode® allows quick detection of subsurface anomalies and accurate first-time surveys eliminating repeat fieldwork and lengthy equipment failure downtime.

Thunderbird injects up to 4 times more current into the ground than competitor systems; more current means more data. And because Thunderbird is not limited by the number of channels, it can instead collect all useable data. This is an unparalleled advancement in ERT technology that provides higher resolution.
Deep Scan™
Wavemode® also provides the revolutionary DEEP SCAN™ service which utilizes the Intellinode™ System to its fullest extent to provide geological surveys of deep anomalies to image moisture and density anomalies at depths of up to 80 meters with accuracy unsurpassed in the industry.
Customizable System
Users can perform surveys of different spacings without changing the physical locations of the electrodes. This is accomplished by using the Intellinode™â€‘ to “skip” nodes to increase the intermediate spacing.
One-Button Surveys
Our 1-touch technology allows you to run surveys, gather data, analyze results, and store information seamlessly.
Dynamic Spacing™
The DYNAMIC SPACING™ service provided by Wavemode® is an industry leader, providing below-ground surveys to detect problems with soil water content and density variation allowing drastically reduced downtime and accurate, repeatable geological surveys the first time without lengthy delays.
